Further medical studies with the homologous series of alphacyanoacrylates prepared in this laboratory have indicated that as the homologous series is ascended, the inflammatory response is decreased. The butyl derivative and higher homologs appear to be well tolerated by the tissues. These data are in general accord with the in vitro studies presented in this paper.
